Decided to invite old friends over for dinner this evening to celebrate Jeannie’s & Cecilia’s birthday. We were colleagues from the now defunct International Development Research Centre Singapore way back in 1981 and have remained in touch ever since. As the saying goes, “Old friends are like diamonds, precious and rare .”  Indeed, it is !  Our friendship dates back more than thirty years ago, from young gals to middle-age now, and the love & support we’ve for each other is never taken for granted.  THANK YOU GOD, for blessing our friendship through the years.

“Friendship doubles our joy and divides our pain.” – Swedish Proverb

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

New International Version (NIV)

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

A toast to good health & happiness
