About Veronica

Thank you for stopping by my blog. This blog is dedicated to good friends and to any one who shares the same interest. Personally, I hope it will be a platform for sharing recipes and finding cooking inspiration. I welcome all comments and feedbacks.

Among the most remembered memories of my childhood time is sitting down for dinner with Ah Pa.  As I come from a large family of thirteen, dinnertime was always taken in two sittings.  I was fortunate to be included in the first round with my younger siblings and our father.  Ah Pa would oversee us at the front of the table. Ah Ma and my elder siblings would eat only after us. It was also during those mealtimes that we were taught proper table manners – to eat quickly and modestly, keeping in mind other family members who have yet to dine.

Sharing a meal together provides an experience that bonds all senses – sight, touch, taste, smell, listening to warm laughter and initiating good conversation; indeed a wonderful way to catch up and know what goes on in each other’s day. A family that eats together will stay together always!

“For health & food, for love of friends, for everything Your goodness sends, Father in Heaven, we thank You” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
